The City of Gravette operates a Mayor-Council form of government. There are three wards with two representatives from each ward for a total of six council members. Meetings are usually held the second and fourth Thursday of the month. See the calendar for most current meeting schedule.

The Planning Commission consists of five members from the City of Gravette's planning jurisdiction. The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. See the calendar for most up-to-date schedule.

Kurt has a Master of Science in Leadership and Ethics, MBA, from John Brown University and has been a small business owner for 25 years. As a Gravette native, he cares deeply about the heritage and well-being of the city. Kurt has been Mayor since January 2015 and his term ends December 2022.

He is the founder of the Bailey Law Firm, P.A., in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Hendrix College with a B.A. with distinction in International Studies in 1993. David then attended law school at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he serveed as an editor of the Law Review. He graduated from law school with honors in 1996. His term as City Attorney ends December 2018.

Mike has been a resident of Gravette since 1992. He and his wife Susan have 6 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He worked as a senior electronics technical, project planner, and program controls analyst for 25 years in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Mike has been involved in Gravette city government in various capacities for over 20 years. His term ends December 2022.

Ron moved to Gravette in February 2013. He and his wife Denice have been married for more than thirty years. They have two children, Joseph, 30, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Caleb, 15, of the home. They also have two grandchildren, Noah and Isaac, of Greenbrier, Arkansas. Brother Ron has many interests including fishing, hunting, woodworking, and golf. Denice loves to quilt and Caleb is an avid outdoorsman. His term ends December 2022.

Jeff is originally from Northern California, but moved to Benton County in 1974 with his wife. A graduate of San Francisco State College, he has taught public school and operated federally funded training programs. For 30 years, he worked at Walmart's printing facility, retiring ten years ago as their primary production scheduler. In preparation for retirement, he and his now departed wife sold their farm west of town and built their new home in Gravette. Jeff has served on the Gravette Planning Commission and is very active in his local and district Lions Clubs. He plays banjo with the Old Town String Band. His term began in January 2018 and ends December 2020.

Margo grew up in Lubbock, Texas. She and her husband of 48 years moved to Gravette to raise their two sons, both of whom graduated from Gravette High School. Margo worked for Emerson Electric for 27 years and then for R & R Solutions for 5 years. She has been active with the Gravette Public Library and is enjoying her retirement. Margo is also very active in her church and enjoys working to help people in any way she can. Margo's term ends December 2022.

James is a Northwest Arkansas native. He and his family moved to Gravette in 2004. James coached multiple youth sports and his wife, Cielito, worked for the Gravette school district for several years. Together, they have 3 children.  Jillian is a 2018 graduate of Gravette high, while Caleb and Seamus currently attend Gravette High School.  James is a 1992 graduate of Bentonville High School and currently owns a construction and remodeling company. James's term ends December 2020.

Rod was born in Monte Ne, Arkansas and is a graduate of Rogers High School. He married his wife, Ella, in 1967 and together they have four children: Pamela, Raina, Rochelle, and Larry. They have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rod spent many years working in the construction industry. In addition to building houses, he was also a cabinet maker. He has lived in Hiwasse for more than 20 years. He is a retired Gravette school bus driver. He has been a member of the City Council since December 2015. Rod's term ends December 2022.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Ashley Harris moved to Bentonville, Arkansas and started her family in 2004.  She and her family relocated to Gravette in 2014. Ashley has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business. She and her husband have owned a handful of businesses together since 2005. Ashley has served on the Gravette Planning Commission since 2016 and she is currently the Chair of the Commission. Ashley's term ends December 2020.
