    During the Christmas Season, the City of Gravette encourages it's residents to decorate their homes for the holiday! HOME About Departments Events Doing Business News & Announcements Meeting Calendar Report a Concern Contact Us More... HOLIDAY DECORATING CONTEST Join us for the 2024 holiday decorating contest! Participants are encouraged to decorate their homes to show their Christmas spirit. A map will be available showing participating homes so the public can explore all the holiday spirit on display. This event is hosted by the City of Gravette and prizes are sponsored by the Bank of Gravette. ​ RESIDENTIAL: Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Community Choice residential entries within the city limits of Gravette. Residences outside the city limits are more than welcome to participate and will be included on the map but will not be part of the judging process. Prizes are to be determined. Judging will take place on as to be determined date. A map will be made available to the public showing the participating houses and the public will be encouraged to explore all of the holiday spirit on display. BUSINESS: Businesses are encouraged to participate and will be included on the map. They will not be judged as part of the competition. Register for the decorating contest HERE. Walk/Bike Trail Main Loop 110 Park Drive (parking) Gravette, AR 72736 The Main Loop of the Gravette walk/bike trail was constructed in 2018. It is 1.4-miles in length and winds through downtown, the parks, and near the Middle School and Elementary School. Trail users can park at Old Town Park to access the trail by getting on near the dog park. There are water fountains by the dog park and a restroom at Old Town Park. This trail is fairly flat and appropriate for strollers. ​ Future additional trail connection to the Main Loop is planned and is expected to be completed in 2022.

Old Town Park is also home to a 9-hole disc golf course that often hosts local competitions. The bottom park of Old Town Park features a picturesque green space with a small creek and is a popular outdoor wedding spot. The top of Old Town Park has playground equipment, a separate toddler playground, swings, and restrooms. There is a small walking trail that outlines the perimeter of the playground area. The program has expanded and today offers career and technical courses to students across the area in basic and advanced welding; heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration; automotive service technology; and machining. Additional courses are available at the main campus of Northwest Technical Institute, located 40 minutes from Gravette.     The Gravette Public Library was established in 1976 and originally occupied a room in the Gravette Civic Center. It relocated in 1987 to the former Gravette School District lunchroom on Charlotte Street. The library moved to its current location at 119 Main Street SE in February of 2016. The Gravette Public Library is a department of the City of Gravette and supported by the Gravette Public Library Advisory Board. Programs are made possible through the generous donations of individuals, organizations, and corporations who support the Gravette Public Library as well as grants awarded to the library through various foundations. Roni is a Belgian Malinois trained to perform multiple tasks including detecting narcotics, article recovery, tracking, missing persons, handler protection, criminal apprehension, and patrol situations. Animal registrations are valid for one calendar year from January to December through purchase at City Hall. The police department will attempt any reasonable means to contact the owner of an animal that has been picked up and the animal will be posted on the Gravette Police Department Facebook page. If the owner cannot be identified, the animal will be held for six days before being put up for adoption if adoptable. Dogs that are currently in the City kennel will be posted on the City’s Facebook page. Victim Rights Information “Pursuant to the Arkansas Victim Rights Act of 1997 and Act 873 of 2015 (Laura’s Law), Arkansas law enforcement is required to provide information for victims of domestic abuse crimes. This information has been assembled into a format called “Laura’s Card” to provide victim rights and necessary contact information in a clear and concise format that is standardized throughout the state. Our officers are required to furnish these pamphlets to the victim of any domestic violence crime so that victims are made aware of medical and housing services. Counseling, financial, social, legal, and emergency services contact information is also provided. In addition, the pamphlet also contains information about obtaining orders of protection, directions on how to access public records related to the case, and contact information for the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Boards. The card also includes a web link to information about signing up for the VINE program, which notifies victims automatically when an incarcerated individual is released from a jail or prison. Properties within 5-miles of a fire station and 1,000 feet of a fire hydrant have an ISO rating of 4, which is most properties in the city limits. Properties within 5-miles of a fire station but further than 1,000 feet from a fire hydrant have an ISO rating of 6. The form can be completed online at https://bit.ly/GFDburnpermit . The burning of agricultural clearing and yard waste is permitted and recommended only during daylight hours. All other items are prohibited under penalty of law. Please check the local weather before and during burning. During burning, you must have a means of extinguishing the fire, such as a portable fire extinguisher (4-A rated minimum), a connected water hose or other water source, or a shovel and dirt or sand. The minimum required distance from structures while burning is 50 feet for open burning, 25 feet for a burn pile no more than 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high, and 15 feet in an approved container. Gravette Pool and Splash Park 401 Dallas Street SE Gravette, AR 72736 About: The Gravette Pool and Splash Park is a seasonal attraction that underwent extensive renovation, updates, and additions in the Spring of 2018. This longtime community spot now features: large pool, diving board, twisty slide, nearly 3,000 square-feet splash park with slides, water spouts, splash buckets, and water sprays. The three large pavilions are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, or by reservation. Bathrooms and office were also renovated in 2018. ​ Hours: The pool and splash park open Memorial Day weekend, annually-- Open Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. - 7p.m., and Sunday from 1p.m. - 5p.m. However, the pool and splash park will be open weekends only , from the weekend before school starts, until Labor Day. Prices: Admission for guests aged 6 and younger is $3, and 7 and older is $5 . Admission is half-price all day Sunday. ​ Rules: No running, alcohol, firearms, smoking, vaping, or glass containers/items. Drinks and snacks must be enjoyed from within the 2 designated sitting areas. Water in clear bottles is allowed near the pool and splash-pad, but no cups please. Children aged 9 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by someone aged 16 or older, at all times. The City is not liable for guest injury, loss, theft or damage of guests' property. ​ Reservations: Pool parties can be scheduled at City Hall. The cost is $125 for less than 25 guests and $150 for more than 25 guests. This includes access to both the pool and splash park. ​ Seasonal Pool Punch Cards: Pool Punch Cards can be purchased at City Hall, and at the pool. There are two options: 10-punch and 20-punch. The 10-punch cards cost $30, and the 20-punch cards cost $55. These pool punch cards are only good for the current pool season , and will not carry over to next years pool season. The pool punch cards have the following rules: ​ You can purchase as many punch cards as you want. However, the price stays the same per punch card. The pool punch cards are non-refundable: All prices are set and final. The pool punch cards are non-replaceable : If a pool punch card is lost, stolen, or damaged (beyond reasonable use), a new punch card will have to be purchased.
