    The City of Gravette operates a water and sewer system that services much of the City. Services extend beyond City limits to other areas in northwest Benton County. WATER, SEWER, AND WASTE To get water or sewer turned on, please come by City Hall to complete a water application and pay a deposit. If you are the property owner, the deposit is $50.00. If you are renting the property, the deposit is $100.00. Deposits may be waived if an acceptable letter of credit from a previous water utility is provided. Please bring your current lease or mortgage agreement and a valid form of identification such as a driver's license, state identification, or passport. Water bills are due on the 25th of every month and can be paid by mail, by phone, in person, or online. Each customer receives one 95-gallon trash cart and day of pick up depends upon where you live in the city. See map below for pickup days. To request trash service, please contact City Hall. As part of the trash service, residents in good standing may have one bulky item per week picked up by Republic at no cost. Bulky items are items that are too big to fit in the trash can and include furniture, mattresses, and more. To schedule this service, please email bulk401@RepublicServices.com or call 1-800-627-1717. ​ A city dumpster is available to Gravette residents at a cost of $30 per pickup truck load and $60 per trailer load. The dumpster is available for use to non-Gravette residents at a cost of $45 per pickup load and $75 per trailer load. During the first full week of every month, dumpster use is reduced to half-price for Gravette residents only. Please come to City Hall to pay. Your paid receipt is required prior to use of the dumpster. ​ Self-service recycling trailers are stationed near Pop Allum Park and the city shop, located at 801 Plant Access Road. There is no fee to use the recycling trailers. Plastic bottles and jugs (#1, #2), aluminum cans, steel food cans, cardboard, and glass bottles and jars are accepted. Bottles, cans, and jars should be rinsed and not bagged up. Cardboard should be broken down and flattened. Gravette Pool and Splash Park 401 Dallas Street SE Gravette, AR 72736 About: The Gravette Pool and Splash Park is a seasonal attraction that underwent extensive renovation, updates, and additions in the Spring of 2018. This longtime community spot now features: large pool, diving board, twisty slide, nearly 3,000 square-feet splash park with slides, water spouts, splash buckets, and water sprays. The three large pavilions are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, or by reservation. Bathrooms and office were also renovated in 2018. ​ Hours: The pool and splash park open Memorial Day weekend, annually-- Open Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. - 7p.m., and Sunday from 1p.m. - 5p.m. However, the pool and splash park will be open weekends only , from the weekend before school starts, until Labor Day. Prices: Admission for guests aged 6 and younger is $3, and 7 and older is $5 . Admission is half-price all day Sunday. ​ Rules: No running, alcohol, firearms, smoking, vaping, or glass containers/items. Drinks and snacks must be enjoyed from within the 2 designated sitting areas. Water in clear bottles is allowed near the pool and splash-pad, but no cups please. Children aged 9 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by someone aged 16 or older, at all times. The City is not liable for guest injury, loss, theft or damage of guests' property. ​ Reservations: Pool parties can be scheduled at City Hall. The cost is $125 for less than 25 guests and $150 for more than 25 guests. This includes access to both the pool and splash park. ​ Seasonal Pool Punch Cards: Pool Punch Cards can be purchased at City Hall. There are two options: 10-punch and 20-punch. The 10-punch cards cost $30, and the 20-punch cards cost $55. These pool punch cards are only good for the current pool season , and will not carry over to next years pool season. The pool punch cards have the following rules: ​ You can purchase as many punch cards as you want. However, the price stays the same per punch card. The pool punch cards are non-refundable: All prices are set and final. The pool punch cards are non-replaceable : If a pool punch card is lost, stolen, or damaged (beyond reasonable use), a new punch card will have to be purchased. GRAVETTE DAY The 131st Annual Gravette Day will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Kindley Park in Gravette, Arkansas! PARADE The parade will head toward Main Street at 12:00 PM. There will be three parade trophies awarded for Best Use of the Theme, Most Festive, and Overall Best Entry. The parade route will be Charlotte SE to Highway 59, to Main Street, to Sixth SE, and back to Charlotte SE. This year's Grand Marshal is Fire Chief David Orr, and the theme for this years Gravette Day is "Guardians of Our Community: We Honor Our First Responders". ​ PAGEANTS Pageants will be open to contestants ages 0 - 20 who reside in Gravette or in the Gravette School District. Contestants aged 13-16 are eligible to compete for the title of Miss Teen Gravette; and those aged 17-20 may compete for the title of Miss Gravette . Pageants are also offered for contestants ages 0-12. Please see the entry form for more information. ​ GRAVETTE DAY 5K The Gravette Day 5k is sponsored by The Gravette Gym and benefits the Gravette Police Department. The 5K course starts at the top of Old Town Park and heads down Lion Drive past the school, then back up historic Main Street, and ends back at the top of Old Town Park. The first 75 participants will receive a Gravette Day 5K shirt. This event is appropriate for strollers and leashed dogs. ​ CAR SHOW The car show takes place in the parking lot of Heritage Baptist Church across from the Civic Center and is a crowd favorite. It regularly draws impressive entries from across the area. Awards are given across multiple categories. All proceeds benefit the Gravette Historical Museum. There is no cost to view the car show. For information about entering the car show, please email info@gravettear.com . ​ MAIN STAGE There will be live music on the stage starting around 1:30 pm. The ope ning cer emony will kick off the event, with the parade winners being announced. All pageant events will take place on the stage. ​ ART SHOW An art show will take place at the Civic Center and is open to artists from around the area. Awards will be given in the categories of painting, drawing, 3D art, youth, and people's choice. ​ Other activities include food and drink vendors, kids zone, merchandise vendors, a Skateboard Show and more!     During the Christmas Season, the City of Gravette encourages it's residents to decorate their homes for the holiday! Participants are encouraged to decorate their homes to show their Christmas spirit. A map will be available showing participating homes so the public can explore all the holiday spirit on display. This event is hosted by the City of Gravette and prizes are sponsored by the Bank of Gravette. ​ RESIDENTIAL: Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Community Choice residential entries within the city limits of Gravette. Residences outside the city limits are more than welcome to participate and will be included on the map but will not be part of the judging process. Prizes are to be determined. Judging will take place on as to be determined date. A map will be made available to the public showing the participating houses and the public will be encouraged to explore all of the holiday spirit on display. BUSINESS: Businesses are encouraged to participate and will be included on the map. They will not be judged as part of the competition. Register for the decorating contest HERE. This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Fireworks will begin at dark at Pop Allum Park. Food trucks and snow cones will be available for purhcase. It will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on the first two blocks of Main Street in Gravette. Local businesses and organizations will line both sides of the first two blocks of Main Street and will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.     The City of Gravette will host an annual Christmas Parade! The community is encouraged to participate by submitting floats, cars, and sometimes horses that follow the theme of that years parade! CHRISTMAS PARADE The City of Gravette will host its annual Christmas parade on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. The theme for this year's parade will be determined at a later date! Those interested in joining the parade as a participant can find the entry form below, at City Hall, or by emailing info@GravetteAR.com . Only the OFFICIAL PARADE SANTA CLAUS will be allowed in the parade. No other live Santa Claus will be allowed to participate in the parade. Trophies will be awarded for the most festive entry, best use of Christmas lights, and best use of the theme. Winners will be announced during the museum open house. ​ Prior to the Christmas parade, the Gravette Public Library will host an Open House beginning at 4:00 p.m. Hot cider, along with cookies baked by the Jolly Good Times Extension Homemakers Club, will be served by the Friends of the Gravette Public Library. Children will receive a snowflake ornament in keeping with the parade theme and an art kit from Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, while supplies last. Following the Christmas parade, the Gravette Historical Museum will host its annual holiday open house on the museum grounds. The historic Kindley home will be open for guests to tour and the museum will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. Listen to sounds of the season performed by the Gravette High School band & choir. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for free pictures in the Gravette Community Building directly across from the museum. The fire department and police department will battle it out in the police versus fire chili cook-off held on the museum grounds. Guests can vote for their favorite chili with a monetary donation. The department with the most money raised wins and all donations will be donated to the department's charity of choice. Parade Entry Form
