Christmas Events December 3
The annual Christmas parade for the City of Gravette is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 4:30 pm on Main Street. The theme for this year's event is 'A Holly Jolly Christmas.' Parade entries are encouraged to decorate their floats or vehicles to fit the theme. Trophies will be awarded to the most festive entry, the best use of lights, and best use of the theme. Winners will be announced at the museum at 5:30 PM on the main porch of the Kindley House. Entries can be submitted on the City of Gravette website at https://www.gravettear.com/christmas-parade
Prior to the Christmas parade, the Gravette Public Library will host an open house beginning at 4:00 pm. Hot cider, along with cookies baked by the Jolly Good Times Extension Homemakers Club, will be served by the Friends of the Gravette Public Library. Guests are invited to explore the library and learn more about signing up for a library card.
Following the Christmas parade, the Gravette Historical Museum will host its annual holiday open house on the museum grounds. The historic Kindley home will be open for guests to tour and the museum will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. Listen to sounds of the season performed by the Gravette High School band & choir. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for free pictures at the Gravette Community Building directly across the street from the museum. The fire department and police department will battle it out in the police versus fire chili cook-off. Guests can vote for their favorite chili with a monetary donation. The department with the most money raised wins and all donations will be donated to the department's charity of choice.
