Christmas Parade December 4
The annual Christmas parade for the City of Gravette is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 4:30 PM on Main Street. The theme for this year's event is 'An Old Fashioned Christmas.' Parade entries are encouraged to decorate their floats or vehicles to fit the theme. Trophies will be awarded to the most festive entry, the best use of lights, and best use of the theme. Winners will be announced at the museum at 5:30 PM on the main porch of the Kindley House. Entries can be submitted on the City of Gravette website at www.GravetteAR.com.
Prior to the Christmas parade, the Gravette Public Library will host a library open house starting at 3:30 PM. There will be hot cider, cookies, and a craft. Guests are invited to explore the library and learn more about signing up for a library card.
Following the Christmas parade, the Gravette Historical Museum will host its annual holiday open house on the museum grounds. The Historic Kindley Home and the Museum Annex will be open for guests to tour and the museum will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. Santa will be available for free pictures. Santa will be handing out stockings to each of the boys and girls that briefly explains what Christmas was like in the 1940’s in the Gravette area.The fire department and police department will battle it out in the police versus fire chili cook-off.
