Fire Department Pancake Breakfast Scheduled
The Gravette Fire Department will host their annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM or until the food is gone. The pancake breakfast will take place at the Gravette Fire Station, located at 309 First Ave. NW. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Gravette firefighters and EMT/paramedics and get a good look at some of their lifesaving vehicles and equipment. You can enjoy a cup of coffee with the Mayor from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM. Adults eat for $5 and kids eat for $3. Children under age 2 are free. Breakfast will be served buffet style and includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, and drinks. Proceeds from the pancake breakfast go toward the purchase of equipment.
In 2018, the Gravette Fire Department responded to more than 1,000 calls and saved property with a pre-incident value of more than $2 million. Members of the department completed more than 3,300 hours of training last year. The Gravette Fire Department is comprised of 32 full-time, part-time, and volunteer members. The department is led by Fire Chief David Orr, a long-time member of the department. The department currently has five Lieutenants: Jared Weston, Brad Harris, David Winters, Josh Blocker, and Bob Bohannon.
