Open Call for Artists
Artists may now submit entry forms to be considered as exhibitors for the Gravette Day 2018 art show. Entry forms can be found online at www.GravetteAR.com or at City Hall and there is no cost to exhibit. The 125th annual Gravette Day will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Gravette, Arkansas. The theme this year is “Looking Back and Moving Forward”. Festivities will primarily take place in Kindley Park, conveniently located immediately off Highway 72. This annual celebration draws approximately 1,500 guests from across the area.
The day kicks off with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at 6:00 AM and art show at 8:00 AM, followed by the high school football scrimmage at 9:00 AM. A car show starts at 11:00 AM and the highly anticipated parade on Main Street starts at noon. Joe Giles and the Homewreckers will perform a free concert at 1:00 PM. There will be
a Kids Zone featuring inflatables, a kids’ fireman’s muster, and much more. A Dutch oven cook-off will take place on the museum grounds with tasting occurring from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Nearby, the car show awards will be announced at 3:00 PM. Afternoon pageants starting at 3:00 PM round out the fun and Miss Gravette 2018 will be crowned at 7:30 PM.
