City Council Vacancy

Melissa Smith, Alderman in Ward 1 Position 2 for the City of Gravette, has resigned from her position as Alderman/Council Member. She and her family are moving out of the area. We are incredibly thankful for her service to the city and wish her the best of luck.

Her Alderman position must be filled at the next City Council meeting on January 25, 2018, and resumes are now being accepted from residents that are registered voters and residing in Ward 1 (see map) that would like to be considered for the position. Please drop off resume at City Hall by January 18, 2018. Interested residents that submit a resume should plan to attend the January 18 Committee Meeting at City Hall to answer any questions from the council and the January 25 Council Meeting at the Civic Center where a decision will be rendered.
