Eddie the Eagle
"Eddie The Eagle" represents an important public safety program for our local youth sponsored by the Gravette PD. The program consists of a video and an eagle suit that an officer wears. Kids watch the video and then Eddie comes in to reinforce the lessons that the video puts forth. In this case, Officer Crane narrated while Sgt. Skaggs wore the costume (the officer in the costume is not allowed to talk). The video is focused on kids from pre-K through 3rd grade and teaches them to "Stop, Don't Touch, Run away, and Tell a grown up" if they encounter an unattended firearm. The program was conceived by the NRA and went live in 2003.
